A little All Hallow's fare...
A fitful breeze
in the leaves
puff, puff!
Hushhh...
Clouds rush over the face of the sun
throwing dappling shadows at my feet

A woolly bear bustles, busily banded
Some say with winter's weight he is branded
he hurries, he must, for he feels the brush
of Winter's first whispering sighs in the wind.

Dragonflies drowse on the noonday warm tar
too sluggish in their dotage to avoid foot, or car

Crickets lose their limbs,
bowless violins
cease singing hymns

Watch out for the mad drone bee!
as unhappy as a bee can be
liable to sting the next thing he can see.

Sun sets over a jewel cold ocean
mighty mares gallop onto the sand
beneath a banded horizon of salmon and blue.

The moon sails serenely through her cool midnight velvet.
