Poem about life's mistakes, challenges, and how people see us and what the remember.
Journal pages torn and thrown,
Into corners and shadowed cracks.
Lives are wasted in the unknown:
Forgiven only by one's present past

Light the way to another life
A paradise of stainless memory.
Things present and things gone by
Flow together in a streamless sea

Never trust the silver platter
Never expect it all to last.
True life outweighs the latter
Even this has come to pass.

Clouded skies shadow my mind,
Darkness pours down from above
Trapped alone between space and time
Crying out for unreachable love.

Mistakes overtake a pointless escape.
Regrets fill a darkening sky.
Try to take it back but its too late,
Turn back to look at a life gone by.

Journal pages turn them over,
Illuminate the shadowed cracks.
Finished pages and closed cover
Written only by one's painful past
