When the lights go out, it gets dark.
Technical Difficulties


         The lamp flickers out like candlelight. Darkness takes over. Digital clock flashes… flashes…flashes. Eyes adjust, slowly. Gradually the room reveals itself. What is in the murky corners is left to the imagination. Tiptoe around the bed. Stub toe. Yelp that hangs in the air. Hop-hop. Compose yourself. Grimace. Light switch found, with a click the eyes burn. Blind again.
