Rated: E · Preface · Spiritual · #1050721
Poem was taken from my prayer journal experience. It published in the local newspaper.
There's a battle raging in my soul,
There's a need to be made whole.

As I face this battle tonight,
You be the victor of my fight.

As I hear the cannon's boom,
All I can feel is fate's doom.

Before I entered the battle ground,
I had faith and knew where I was bound.

But through the trials and the tears,
My mind came captive to fear.

So as I remain a captive here,
Bring your presence near.

I came thinking I was full proof.
But what was I trying to prove?

You're the Master of the fight,
Save me and hold me tight.

This white flag I was ready to raise,
But now I see it's won and you I'll praise.
