A bit of random humor that I came up with while sitting, bored, in Calculus.
She peers up at the wall clock
Just half an hour to go...
Her mind? Not in the classroom-
It's playing in the snow.
There, on her desk, her calc book,
She stares at it with woe,
Annoyance, trepidation...
It is a worthy foe.

She does not care for calc books
Though once she thought she might-
Long ago, when calc books
Seemed shiny, thick, and bright.
This was before calc books
Kept her up at night,
Back when stupid calc books
Really seemed all right.

But as of now, this calc book-
The one that holds her gaze...
She really hates this calc book,
She cannot count the ways.
And, glaring at her calc book,
She sighs and counts the days
Until she takes this calc book
And sets the thing ablaze!
