A poem about relationships and new beginnings
Are you my friend?

He is my friend who loves me and shows it;
Even if it’s not readily returned.

He is my friend who listens and understands
Even what I have trouble expressing.

He is my friend who gets me and laughs with me;
Instead of poking fun and laughing at me.

He is my friend who takes time to spend with me;
Instead of trying to buy me off with a gift or excuse.

One question remains…Are you my friend?
