What is in the mind of a Fury?
Flee.
Run until your lungs
Give out, breathing
Laboured, caught,
And acid eats your limbs.
Run until your legs
Scream and collapse,
Shaking, quivering.

I am behind you -
It is no effort:

I have no lungs
To cry for oxygen,
No muscles
To exhaust,
And so I drive you before me,
Like cattle.

Onwards.

I chase forever
A wildness not my own.
Your crimes are my
Life's breath,
Your murders
My essence, blood:
I hunger for despair.

Misery!
I feed upon it:
It is my being.
Relentlessly I drive
As I am driven.

I myself work Fate,
Yet am consumed by it,
Burning flames of forest fire
That is its own destruction,
Combustion, internal and total.

I was woman once.
