The beginning of a new life.
Tomorrow you will be here.
Nine long months of waiting.
Everyday I feel you grow stronger.
Everyday I pray for you.
Everyday I thank God for you.
My greatest wish is granted.
My soul sings with pure joy.
I feel alight and free.
Like I've never felt before.
What do you look like?
Like your Father or like me?
Are you a boy? a girl?
Since the day they told me,
I've shuddered with anticipation.
Everyday I smile as I think of you.
I start anew in the morning light.
My life begins once again with you.
My life is now complete.
I sit contemplating life.
The new enjoyments it will bring.

The Day has come.
Today my daughter you were born.
The first time I gazed at you,
tears fell, my heart melted.
The joy I feel can't be put in words.
I've never been so grateful.
You're the greatest thing,
that's ever come to me.
Looking at you I notice,
your fathers face gazing at me.
I see my feet, my hands.
You are perfect in every way.
I could never ask for more.
Open your eyes and see the world.
All the wonders awaiting you.
The greatest gift of all has come.
The greatest gift is you.
To know anyone.
To greet anyone.
To encounter anyone.
Thank you Lord.
For the love of my life.
May she forever be at peace.
May she always feel loved.
May she always know how grateful I am,
simply in having her in my life.
