He left her in pursuit of an unimportant quest, both are heartbroken but remain faithful.
Beneath dappled forests of the night,
Beneath blue crescent moon, he will ride.
O’er grassy plain, o’er sandy desert,
Does he ride in vain?
Will his one love desert?
These thoughts haunt him,
These foul thoughts daunt him,
Yet still he rides,
Ever faithful, into the night.

Galloping wildly beneath the stars,
Does he know, that from afar,
His love is staring at the same crescent moon,
Filled with fear--
“Will he come soon?”
These thoughts churn inside her mind,
As he gallops wildly, tears render her blind.
Still she hopes, still he rides,
Ever faithful into the night.

Now, as golden dawn draws near,
Replaced by love, gone is their fear:
He is coming!
She is here!
Reunited, their hearts at rest.
“Never will I let you go,
To gallop wildly to the west.”
“Never again will I ride away,
For you are my greatest quest.”
