Little Lily Lincoln was quite afraid of night...
Little Lily's Night Fright

Little Lily Lincoln
Was quite afraid of night,
And every night, when the day was done,
She was always quite filled with fright.

But one night Little Lily Lincoln,
Learned a lesson she still holds dear,
And from the dark she no longer runs,
Or turns on a light to stop her fear.

You, see, Little Lily Lincoln,
was much to sleepy one night,
And watching T.V. and having fun,
Sleep she could no longer fight..

Her mom and dad found her sleeping,
peacefully on her bedroom floor,
So they tucked her in, without keeping
the light on by the door.

So Little Lily Lincoln lay in her bed,
Dreaming of her favorite things,
without the thought in her head
of the things the dark night brings.

But then, quite out of nowhere,
She felt something on her cheek,
And sprang from her bed, unaware
That she'd ever been asleep.

She stumbled through the darkness,
searching for the door,
But since her toys were in a mess,
She kept falling to the floor.

And then, by her window,
She saw a tiny light.
She crawled to the tiny glow,
And could not believe the sight!

A faery, just two inches tall
was looking over Lily's bed!
Her voice was loud, though she was small,
"Find comfort in my light," she said.

And then the little faery flew,
Too fast for you or I to see,
But, Little Lily Lincoln knew,
Exactly where the faery would be.

Then, suddenly, the room filled with light,
and Little Lily Lincoln could finally see,
That nothing is scary in the night,
Because the faeries watch over us --Her, You, and Me.
