In remembrance of my father

A spark of life he was,
I started in the womb.
A parasite I used to be,
enclosed within that room.

Released from darkness into light,
I saw him gently smile.
He held me, warmed me in
his arms, I basked
in love awhile.

Day turned into night,
when he left without a word.
A spark of life he was,
spark of life unheard.
