A poem about dissapointment in life.
Don’t ask me why
I chose to say goodbye.
Because I didn’t ask you why
You made me cry.
You look so sorry
But baby don’t worry
Not going for the same story.
Because one thing I learned
Was that I got burned.
But I’m ready to heal
And this time’s for real.
Don’t ask me how
It’s just to late now,
Too late for you to care,
About my welfare.
Thanks for the acting,
I enjoyed the play,
At times it made me want to stay,
Now the curtains fall,
And you’re losing it all,
But maybe one day,
You will find your way.
So here I stand, again alone,
With my heart cold as stone.
Life is a funeral,
At which we participate unwillingly,
A grudge at which we go at, reluctantly.
