A poem about how the waves of the ocean at night wash away the stress of the day.
Oceanic

I’ve danced upon the oceanic waves
Of despondency making faces at the moon.
I’ve drowned in the sweltering air
That rushes out with the fall of the sun.
I’ve seen the shadowed gulls investigate
Their late intruder dashing near and high
And up out over off into an empty part.

I’ve sat deep in the soothing monotony
That washes away the troubles of the day
With a pale moon salt-foam scrub
In the cool solitude of the quiet nighttime air
That waits in the swell of the sea
To throw itself upon the shore
In wave after wave of oceanic resplendency.
