First signs of new life ~ herald Earth's renewal at Springtime ~ short rictameter form
Springtime

springtime
earth wakes, stretching
crocus tendrils skyward,
faces washed by melting dewdrops
playfully seek the sun’s warming caress;
smiling through their blanket of snow
blushing rainbow colors,
new life, new hope,
springtime
