An m/c rider's muse.

Steel Horses

Steel horses on the boulevard,
echoes from the wall;
Fire-breathing steeds rode hard,
midnight ramblers call.

Dust-covered leather and chrome,
colors on their backs,
dark riders slowly coming home,
members of the pack.

They came from distant places,
riders of the wind,
fighting for the nameless faces,
darkness is their kin.

The moon is up and day is done,
night will fall and then;
The riders of the setting sun ,
roll down the road again.
