This is my first poem for the website.
Holding life
Is like clutching sand, tight
The grains just slip right through the rifts of your fingers
And pile up, yours just one padded, buried

Watching life
It's like famished ants devouring meat
White sinew, red flesh
Slowly gone, nothing wasted
And you are the onlooker
Calm and cold

Living life
Is like rain droplets rushing down the window pane
And on the way
Some gobbled by larger drops, some splashed by wind
Others vanish into the rim
Leaving traces only to disappear

Oh my…but I'm still living life!
