Relating the beauty of nature with the spirit of God.
Teach Me to Whisper

In the still, quiet dusk
Of the sun's fading stare
A myriad of secrets
On sweet scented air.

A family of midges
Abuzz with delight.
Their motionless swarm
Humble glints of twilight.

Colorful ladybugs
Calling their young.
Voiced in pure honey
A sweet mother tongue.

The royal queen bee
Sits atop her throne,
Passing out justice
To an unruly drone.

The spider, this eve,
Spins iridescent strands
From grass to grass
Revealing her plans.

Daisy and Primrose
Lean petal to style.
Dream of great beauty
A lily in the Nile.

Above all the hum
Of the kingdom below,
The majestic Monarch
Glides to and fro.

She visits each one
At the grand close of day.
With inaudible whisper
Makes each one to pray.

Thanking God for the beauty
That inspires their song
And the hope on the morrow
To sing it as strong

Oh fair wingéd creature
If the morrow be crisper
Alight on my soul
And teach me to whisper.
