Native American prayers in the powwow circle.
"Red Prayers"

The Circle is made strong
with the dancing.
We,The People, belong
to the tapestry woven by the steps
of prayers.
Come, hear the drumbeat
in our dancing feet,
adorned in feathers and beads.
We sing as did the Old Ones.
Great Mystery, hear our hearts,
and pity our red bony bodies.
