Written before the end of a long relationship. Not angsty though.
Asthmatic wease belies the aggression
Overbearing kindness drenched in frustration
Laughing, smiling
Angry, Unruly
Constantly in agitation.

Opposites attract, but they never blend
Internally attacked, it will never mend
You turn around, externally bruised.
Leaving bemused
Inwardly battered
None of it mattered
Darkness shines from behind your eyes.

Left behind, couldn't keep up.
Too far ahead, no desire to slow down.
Vacuous space became a burden you wanted to bear
Walking a thread beginning to tear
Can't walk side by side
When being strung along

Once the cream that rose to the top
Discarded and watered down to make it skim
Take out the flavour
The way you like it
Watered down became your thing

Words that were straight
Bent and minced
One seemed so sure
of One never convinced
Twisted and skewed
Words in plain view
were never the same
as words said on cue
