a poem about my mother
Sadness blows through the wind,
As I miss my mother, my friend,
Oh how I long to see and touch her face
And feel her warmth and loving embrace.

My heart is filled with sadness,
As I miss my mother, my friend,
God’s heart is overflowing with Joy.

As I go on day by day without her,
God is my hope and my strength,
He is there guiding and holding my hand,
Each and every step of the way.

Oh how I long to see my mother, my friend,
For now I know I must wait.
Oh my heart is overflowing with joyfulness,
That I will one day see her soon.

She sits at the right-hand of God,
Watching over me and waiting for the day,
She and I will be together again.

She will forever be in my heart,
For now and forevermore.
