A man's descent may be discerned by his conduct...
Night finds me here where day last left you

One knee down buried into the frosted ground

The stone stared at cries out for shame and flinches, fearing what it finds

It can't be but it is

Eyes heavy with unbound honor and pent up rage drop to the ice covered floor pleading for mercy

From you, from themselves

The cold clutched metal weighing down the grip of the propped up appendage swears no such allegiance

If not it then you

If not me then it

Your coveted luxury is peaceful rest

This metal heavy hand nor the city above you shall know such solice

I rise

Not tonight
