For New Orleans
My dark southern beauty,
creole refuge to my soul.
Lost like Atlantis,
washed away with rain.

Your magestic lore
lingers in my mind.
Dangerous mysteries
only snaphots now.

I traced your paths,
dark and sultry.
Roamed inner depths,
to feel the groove.

Dirty and glorious
you were eternal.
Till random chance
took you away.

You were joy and grief,
a home to rest my mind.
Found and lost in a glance.
Return my southern love.
