In eager anticipation
Of things
Yet to come.
I reflect on past
Treasures
Many years
That have gone by.
Tears of joy
Pain
Of fond remembrances.
Memories of loved ones
Some gone,
Of mistakes…
Of pranks…
But more still to come.
More memories
Waiting to be made
Waiting to take
Form.
New people,
Friends,
Family,
To share the joy.
