A short poem about a young gril on a walk with her mother. Please R&R! Or just rate. Thanks!
A walk in the park,
Mom’s hand in mine,
We’ll be here ‘till dark,
But home before nine!

What a beautiful day!
Birds are singing,
And far away,
Bells are ringing.

A path in the trees,
Known only to us.
Just we and the bees,
Away from all that city fuss.

Perhaps we will see a deer,
Or maybe a bunny.
The clouds are drawing near!
Oh, but it was so sunny!

The rain starts to fall,
Hitting my head.
It ruined it all!
Now the fun’s dead.

Well, back to the car.
Our walk has come to a close.
We didn’t get far.
Just look at our soaked clothes!
