This about when you first see your baby after labor and delivery
Baby

Red and swollen you cry
My love in your eyes
Kisses to your head
Now I must cry too
Part of me forever
One look, I'm hooked
I knew you before though
World inside me I loved you
Sweet smell of your head
I inhale you all
My breath has resumed
And it consists of you
I close my eyes now
Pain has passed
And I will see you
When I awaken
And care for you
Until my soul separates
From this physical
I will love you even then.
