A poem about my daughter.
From hours of pain I recieve a great treasure
The love for this tiny babe I cannot measure
They laid her in my arms to suck on my breast
The world faded away as she lay there on my chest
Given to me, though I deserve her not
I will forver cherish this sweet little tot
In time she will learn pain, hurt and fear
But I, her loving mother, will always be near
A broken bone, a shattered heart she may feel
But I will always be close by to help her heal
Though years may pass and distance come between
I will travel near or far, for on me my child can lean
For on that November day a love was born
And love between a mother and child can never be torn
