Don't fence me in,
don't lock me away!
Tears fall from my cheeks
I wish you'd let me stay.

My love it out there,
her heart is close to mine,
for you to take me,
please give me a deadline.

I know I'm not perfect,
I've done some of the worst,
forgive me for what happened,
my luck is a curse.

I don't care what you do,
I know what I deserve;
but please don't take me away,
I will forever love her.

I'll change my ways,
begin life again,
please let me explain,
don't let this be the end.

Drugs are an ecstasy,
it takes the pain away,
I'll learn to live again,
each and every day.

For you to chain me in,
and take her from my heart,
it's like ripping out my soul,
and pulling it apart.

I'll do anything for her,
just don't take me away,
please let me be here,
please let me stay.
