This poem is dedicated to all the missing children and came from a sad expreience I had.

The Missing

In our hearts we have to wonder
where have all the children gone?
Do they feed a madman's hunger,
will they see another dawn?

Do their Mother's weep in agony
and their Father's pace in rage?
Are children blinking out of sight,
mere print for one more page?

Where are, the missing children,
can we bring them back today?
Is there a chance to see them soon?
" Please God, help them find their way."

So we fanned across the field
despite the bitter cold,
in hopes that we would find her soon,
harsh fate for a five year old.

The world will miss her laughter
and no matter how we tried,
it was not this day we'd find her,
this loving child may have died.

A tiny hand seen reaching up,
six long weeks had passed her by.
An awful nightmare for a farmer,
a family's closure with a tragic ... why?
