We die to keep our friends alive.
BLOOD OF BROTHERS

I’ll be the first to admit,
I’ve become a little withdrawn.
But too many friends lost it,
Before the breaking of dawn.

When we met we were strangers.
And while time slowly passed,
Brought together by the dangers,
On jungle trails, the mountain passes.

Strangers once and brothers now,
Desperately clinging to a life
Born in the violence of war.
Grown close through stress and strife.

The blood of brothers was shed,
Not for Mom and apple pie.
No not for “Old Glory’, I’ll bet,
So many of us fought and died.

For "our country 'tis of thee,”
Is not the reason why.
It was for you, and for me.
Blood of Brothers, the reason why,

So many of us fought and died.
