Read the title. It's a definition . . . of love, told through the mouth of a pessimist
Someone asked me for my definition of love. I had thought of this sometime ago, but I said the wrong things- it wasn't this definition. This is my true definition of love.

Love is giving someone a gun.
Love is giving someone a gun and standing at point blank range
about 50 feet back
with arms stretched wide
with a stupid grin plasted on your face
and let them shoot at you-
with a stupid grin on your face
at point blank range
letting them shoot at you
totally trusting that they wont hit you
praying that they dont shoot you
hoping that they don't kill you
with arms stretch wide.
and if they do feel the whim to graze you with a bullet
to hit you
to pull the trigger with aim.
you smile wide,
ignoring the pain
and ask for another.
ask for another
ignoring the pain
your smile wide
your arms stretched out
you let them shoot you

I have performed this macab circus act
always with a smile
I have holes in my hands
gunpowder on my fingertips
a wound on my side
bullet holes around my head
and . . .
always with a smile I bleed
always with a smile wait
always with a smile
I wait for the day that you kill me.
for you to pull the trigger with better aim.

Okay. I didn't mean to make it a poem- I really just wanted it to be just my explaination of what I truely think love is like (unitl I'm proved differently, which I probably wont be.)
