In this poem I attempted to tackle the theme of insomnia in a slightly abstract way.
As the darkness closes in
The place where I have been
Becomes different, strange,
Did it really change?
Or is it just my mind
And the darkness,
Making me feel so blind?
The moon is shadowed,
Its brightness gone,
And still here I am,
Standing on my lawn,
The night surrounding me,
I can barely see,
I still stand here,
Waiting.
