Dusk, Night time, and the eve of rest.
Twilight
The night watch
Beckoning the bright
Eyes that shine white light
And illuminate the dark
Sky like a beacon
For solidarity, life,
And peace.
Amidst the solemn
Silence inhabited with
Harbingers of deceit
And sprites of safety
There are those content
With simple necessity,
Those who strive
For the love of another,
And those who fail
To bother.
But tonight-
The glimmering and
Swirling hues of
Dazzling color arrest
Wild minds dancing
In the moonlight struck
By the sight, unaware,
Calmly unkempt and in
Utter delight.
Tonight, the twilight,
As creeping beasts
Soundly sleep
And listen to the beat
Of heaving hearts
Uniting under the soft
Glow of tomorrow;
Fiends, stalk our shadows
Lending to the despair
Of the darkness’ blight.
For the twilight-
Our darkness’ plight,
As we fly on through
Nightmares in life
And turn to
Rhymes we recite
To protect,
To live, love,
Give hope for
Starfire and
Sunrise Inspired.
