Ocean Sky

Maybe we should all fly,
look through these clouds,
and see the stars,
but by earth we are so bound.

These wings you want,
come at a price,
free from ties that bind to earth,
cutting away with one single slice.

Stars float in the ocean above,
leading to worlds beyond comprehension,
but this earth we have is warm,
and filled with such tension.

Such a thing seems like heaven,
but what is heaven when you leave,
all of those you love without tellin’?

Stars upon this ocean,
and waves upon this sky,
a dream of something more,
a dream set so high,
But why do you want,
to say goodbye?

You sit and think,
of all you lost,
but is flying away any better,
even at a such cost?
