The wind has many faces. I can see and feel them all.
The Wind

by

E C WESCH

The foreplay of wind caresses the sand
Leaving whispers of its presence behind.
Mesmerized, by its warm gentle touch,
I soar with it through time.
Entranced by leaves in ardent fervor,
I tremble in ecstatic bliss.
Closing my eyes in a measure of trust,
I savor its soft...lovers kiss.

Soon, gallant and strong the wind blows along
Creating a vibrant display.
Swirling and twirling with all of its might
And nothing can stand in its way.
Bowing in defeat the trees pay homage
To the strength of the mighty gale.
While all alone I sit trembling in fear
Feeling miserable, cold...and frail.
