A poem about love and loss
Poetic metaphor
like a blossoming Dogwood's
pure, white flowers
pleases the eye
and the soul.

Shakespeare's simile:
"So are you to my thoughts as food to life"
Words can cause
a troubled
heart to sing.

Lyrical, musical
heartbeat rhythm
pounding or thumping
as deep and clean
as a cool breath

What is life
without poetry?
What is the world
without beautiful
music?

Nothing!

And what good
is life
without her?

None!
