Spirits fly and so do I.
FLY

By: Rusty Cason

Smoothly layered feathers, overlapping one by one.

Long extended wings that move in rhythmic unison.

Sounds of only rushing winds, that lift me up above.

I am a Golden Eagle or a soft and graceful dove.

Soaring up in heaven where the light spills down on me.

Gliding down the greenest hillside, landing in a tree.

Up within the tree tops I can set my feelings free.

My heart can soar above or I can feel humility.

I see a world of hate and anger, things that make me cry.

None of them can get me down, and when I'm blue - I simply, Fly!
