More Meanings Than One


Poetry is words,
More meanings than one.
A way to express,
The things we have done.

Words of love,
Life, hopes and fears.
Make you laugh out loud,
Shed those silent tears.

Send a shiver down your spine,
Cheer you when blue.
Make the reader reflect,
When another's words ring true.

A way to vent,
To share, and to create.
It speaks often of love,
Even sometimes of hate.

Poetry is words,
More meanings than one.
A way to express,
The things we have done.
