Dedicated to two wonderful people who have so much love to give children - and they do!
A TEMPORARY GRANDMA.

The needs of all children must be our concern
So, in fundraising I try to take part.
But fostering is not just something you learn,
It must come direct from the heart.

My daughter and her husband, their own to raise,
Decided to take in some more.
The job that they do is worthy of praise
Not one ever turned from their door.

So, the number of grandkids I have at one time
can vary, depending on who
needs a warm bed or a word that is kind,
Or just someone to tell troubles to.

These kids do it tough, it's a very big task
To learn to be loved and be needed,
They're welcomed unconditionally, no questions asked
Their lives are no longer impeded.

When it's time to send children out on their way
(They know that they're not theirs to keep)
They have done all they could, and all they can say
is,"Good Luck and God Bless", (and they weep).
