In passing
Vessels

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of metal, wood and flesh comprised -
A jolt felt somewhere between
hope and agony arises before
sharp notes fall flat to life.

Yellow, weathered fire engulfs
crippled pyres as stolen skin reveals
hardened past. Sacred seals melt
to drip black lacquered wax unto
cosmopolitan sands.

Liquified energy pulses weak around
calcified bones to roam alone. prone,
silver-haired homes drift toward
steady blue lines placated by quiet time.

Silken, satin-lined and stuffy are these
mahogany closets that hold our beloved
boundaries. And that is all - an encased
stall with handled walls lowered into
consecrated grounds.

Unsound minds, vicious crimes dissolve
within suffocated tombs while hatred silently
looms.
