Just a little prose
Vines.

I see this everyday,
at a house just down the street.
From the ground, two vines grow
Born separate, far apart.
Over time, the two parts meet
Become entwined.
Become one.
Grow together.
Live for each other,
Cannot live without.
Flowers bloom,
Life fades.
Still the vines remain,
Two as one.
Forever.
It makes me think,
are we like this?
Will we love once life leaves?
Once the green has faded,
and the garden withers around us?
I cannot know.
All I know is,
Love is here,
here and now.
Like the vines,
after the flowers wilt,
and the soil goes dry,
I will hold on,
Forever.
