2 types of hunting at Christmas time
Christmastime is coming soon,
Shopping days dwindle down.
Going to mass, then we'd watch
the lights in our hometown.

Memories of being young,
Getting awesome presents.
Going out with all the guys
hunting for big pheasants.

Traipsing through snow and milo
fields were fun for us all.
Time to go home now and play,
Some card games or football.

Warming up by the wood stove,
Then playing with our toys.
If not for going back to
school, we were blissful boys.

Still, we have many pleasant
memories of those days.
Making snowmen and jump in
drifts in any such way!

Now we still go out hunting,
To the stores for our kids.
Trying not to get trampled,
By crowds and cars we jig.

Hoping that their Christmas times,
Are as joyous as ours.
Happiness for the taking,
All within their powers.
