Written on a blistery winter night.
No longer surrounded by waves of static.
Everything electronic you have suspended.
People run around in a replacement panic.
All that depend on it, you have befriended.

Since your arrival most travel has ceased.
Flashlights and flames all that illuminate.
An updated forecast they just released.
Why must you continue to accumulate?

You’ve planted your crystals on all the poles.
Cars are in ditches and crashed in the streets.
Even the police can not complete their patrols.
Covered is the ground with your many sheets.

I am beginning to enjoy this chamber of solitude.
For a moment all has come to a temporary hold.
No calls, visitors, or hasty rides, I show my gratitude.
Although, I must admit its starting to get cold.

The atmosphere has become quite frigid.
This whole ordeal has been highly dramatic.
All you have touched has turned so rigid.
Now longing to be surrounded by waves of static.
