My life is too ordinary
I watch the world go by
I stare at the rolling clouds
And start to wonder why
Why couldn’t life be grand?
I’m counting raindrops in my hand

My life is too dramatic
The people talk and stare
I wish I could be myself
And never have to care
Is it bad if my clothes aren’t name brand?
I’m counting raindrops in my hand

My life is too hectic
I really need to rest
I need to take a breath
And have to pressure to be best
Could I not always be on demand?
I’m counting raindrops in my hand

Inside, I sound like three people
But outside, you only see one
For living many different lives
A complex person I have become
My life is crazy, busy, and bland
And I’m counting raindrops in my hand
