Written for writers cramp, this was a difficult time. All turned out well in the end.
Walking on Raindrops

I closed my sad eyes and saw the rain.
I thought I would be depressed again.
Move out there to where it always pours?
I thought myself mad to go, of course.

Alas the big move came anyway.
Across the country we moved away.
We left our home, our loves, and our friends,
To begin our lives over again.

My Mom so ill and my Dad long gone.
Family first, even if I’d been wronged.
I quit my job and drove a long way.
Brought my girl, left my son, a sad day.

Well the sun did shine and the sky was blue.
The rain didn’t come as much as I knew.
Work came quickly and my daughter found friends
We began our lives all over again.

A new float home came to us like a dream.
On water, the waves, the birds and it seemed
Like joy could be found here easily
Just looking outside and seeing the sea.

Then the rain came fast and hard and long.
But I'm not sad as I sing a song,
Swaying with the majestic tree tops.
I'm so happy, walking on raindrops.
