regrets reaching out for comfort
Falling

It’s at night when I begin to fall
I reach out my hands
For someone to catch me
But no one is there
To hear my prayers of despair

So into the abyss I fall
Tumbling against the sharp edges
Of memories and regrets
Deeper and deeper I go
My cries becoming a fading echo

My heart shatters into a million pieces
As I land face down
Against the hard cold stone
Of morning’s reality

Yes, it’s at night
When I begin to fall
