This Is A Poem I Wrote About The Person I Love.
I lie awake
again in my bed.
Thoughts of You
refuse to leave my head.
We try to cover up
all of the signs.
Our feelings
left undefined.

No one knows our love still grows,
cause the lies blind our hearts.

Looking your way doesn't turn your head.
I'm choking down the lies I'm fed.
I'm the slave to my heavy heart.
You can see in my eyes I am falling apart.

My heart's not broken,
just bleeding and bent.
before You love,
read the fine print.
They say our hearts
have crossed some line,
but, we build castles
in The Sands of Time.

No one knows our love still grows,
cause the lies blind our hearts.

Looking your way doesn't turn your head.
I'm choking down the lies I'm fed.
I'm the slave to my heavy heart.
You can see in my eyes I am falling apart.

I shed a tear when you're near,
because we both know you're already gone.

I look your way You don't turn your head.
All the lies have left me dead.
And, I can't seem to leave this heavy heart.
Instead of falling again, I wanna fall into your arms.

Look my way, I won't turn my head.
You choke down those lies you fed.
It's your turn to hold a heavy heart.
I paid you back, but, I'm still falling apart.
