This Is A Poem I Wrote About The Person I Love.
I lay in bed,
straining my ears.
Waiting for the sound I'm not
going to hear.
My mind still races,
though I wiped all the traces
of You away.

You say you're gone, tired of hanging on.
But, my heart won't say goodbye.
I knew You were too good to be true,
when I heared You cut off the line.

Who knew I'd be the one
to break my own heart?
I tried to hold us together,
but, instead I tore us apart.
So I'm alone, here, after all.
But, to keep love alive, I'll wait here
for your call.

The days go by
without a sound.
What once was a smile,
has melted into a frown.
my heart is breaking,
but, you are making
your getaway.

We both know you've hit the road.
But, until that phone call comes...

Who knew I'd be the one
to break my own heart?
I tried to hold us together,
but, instead I tore us apart.
So I'm alone, here, after all.
But, to keep love alive, I'll wait here
for your call.
