This Is A Poem I Wrote About The Person I Love.
I turn up the music,
to drown out the lies.
I turn my eyes from
what's left of my life.
Because it's not worth
the time I'll waste
picking up the pieces.

The stress builds on my shoulders,
but I won't let you see me break.

All this hurt, you'd think I'd learn.
I'm jumping off bridges that You burn.
I don't know what hurts more,
watching You leave or
knowing I pushed you out the door.

I miss that crooked smile,
and the moon shining in your eyes.
I want to take You back, but something deep inside
is holding me back
from the heartbreak
I feel, and can't live without.

I watch You live your life,
You never saw me sharpen up my knife.
For the day I decide
to give up on myself
the way You gave up me.
