This Is A Poem I Wrote About The Person I Love.
You always loved the corney things
I whispered in Your ear.
So, now that You're gone, there's just one more
I want You to hear.

Is it fair how close we got,
to turn around and find we're not .
You said you might be back again,
and Until That Day...

I never knew how I could hate
the unfeeling hand of fate
You said my love was too late.
But, just so you know, You're worth the wait.

I held on a little too tight,
and wouldn't let You spred Your wings.
I didn't want to see You taking flight,
and moving on to greater things.

Is it fair how close we got,
to turn around and find we're not.
You said you might be back here again,
But I won't hold my breath...

I never knew how I could hate
the unfeeling hand of fate
You said my love was too late.
But, just so You know, You're worth the wait.
