A short poem about what my mother used to say.
Life can put sticks in my wheels,
Make me want to run
And turn on  my heels

But what my mother used to say,
I'll always remember
She said it each and every day,

Bridges Burnt
Should make you ponder,
As lessons learnt
Can make you stronger.

I have pondered upon my mistakes
Learnt from the life that is mine
I have eaten the figurative cake
The cherry, I'm sure, will come in time.
